SCAHL Conference Races Tight

Feb. 21, 2017

The SCAHL regular season is down to two remaining weekends, and the races for first place in the Conference standings are tight in all but two cases.

In the Pee Wee North, Olds has a slim 1 point lead in the standings over Red Deer Motors.  The South Conference sees Medicine Hat leading by a comfortable margin over second place Lethbridge Hurricanes Red.

The Bantam North Conference is tight with the West Central Tigers holding a 3 point advantage over Olds, while in the South Okotoks and Taber are tied for the top spot, with Lethbridge only 4 points back.

West Central leads the Midget North by 4 points over Okotoks Oilers Black.  In the South Conference Wheatland has a commanding 11 point margin over second place Medicine Hat.

At the end of the regular season, all teams head to their Conference Play Off Tournaments to determine the Championship, with the winners of the North and South conferences facing off in the League Championship best of 3 playoff.  The winners then advance to the Alberta AA Provincial Championships.
