The Alberta AA Provincial Championships were held in Pee Wee AA, Bantam AA and Midget AA March 30 - April 2. The SCAHL is proud to congratulate the Wheatland Chiefs on their Midget AA Provincial Championship and the Okotoks Oilers on their Bantam AA Provincial Championship.
The SCAHL Champion Chiefs defeated the St. Albert Crusaders in the Midget AA finals by a convincing 8-4 score. Host team and North Conference runner-up Okotoks Oilers Black also had a successful tourney, advancing to the bronze medal game where they were defeated 5-1 by the CBHA (Calgary) Rangers.
In Bantam AA, two SCAHL teams faced of for the Championship. Host team Olds Grizzlies went through the round robin portion of the tourney with a perfect 4-0 mark to move to the finals, while SCAHL Champion Okotoks secured second spot with a 2-1-1 mark. The Oilers however prevailed in the Championship game by a 5-1 score to take the gold medal.
In the Pee Wee AA Provincial Tourney, SCAHL Champion Red Deer Motors Black ended the round robin with an 0-3-1 record.
