The Alberta AA Hockey Model provides an opportunity for players to request a Second AA Tryout subsequent to being released from the AA Tryout camp in their Home AA Recruitment Area. In short, after a player has been released from their Home Recruitment Area tryouts, the Notice of Try Out form (which would have been obtained to obtain the permission to tryout in the first place) has a section entitled "Second Try Out Information". This form then needs to be returned to the players home minor hockey association for signature, and also must be signed by the home recruitment area as indicated on the form. Once this has been completed, the form should be submitted to the SCAHL, c/o League Administrator Greg Davenport at davstast@telusplanet.net.
The League will then determine if there is a AA Recruitment Area that has declared itself to be In Need for second tryout applications. The League will then advise the player of which AA Tryout he has been assigned for the second tryout and will notify that Recruitment Area the request for a second tryout has been approved. At this time the Recruitment Area will contact the player to advise if they are prepared to offer the second tryout, and if so, will provide direction for the player to join their tryouts.
